Tim's Story

Tim Dehnhoff, has lived Western Washington all of his life. He has been married to his wife, Tammy for 22 years, and they both stay busy raising their 2 young adults, Tyson 20 and Tayna 16. His life and his family’s life changed forever on Aug 15th 1998, when Tim had a climbing accident. A 30-foot fall from a rope while practicing rock-climbing left Tim with a T-12 incomplete spinal cord injury. Because of Tim’s incomplete injury he is able to walk very well with 2 canes.

Tim is a life-long avid hiker, ultra endurance athlete, and adventurer with a passion for gaining knowledge. He has been highly committed and involved in Snohomish Co. Volunteer Search and Rescue (SCVSAR) for the last Ten years and truly believes in SCVSAR motto “That Others May Live”.

Tim is currently the Operations Support Unit President, SCVSAR  Board Secretary and the recipient of the highest honor SCVSAR has to  bestow on it’s volunteers,
The Terry Tibke Award.

Tim’s faith and determination drives him to share with others the mission of OPTIMIZEu2 and the Think First organizations. He continues to share his abilities of communication to motivate & inspire others with his story. Public speaking is his life’s work because he is very passionate about what he has to say.
