Tim's Story
Tim Dehnhoff, has
lived Western
Washington all of
his life. He has
been married to his
wife, Tammy for 22
years, and they both
stay busy raising
their 2 young adults,
Tyson 20 and Tayna
16. His
life and his
family’s life
changed forever on
Aug 15th 1998, when
Tim had a climbing
accident. A 30-foot
fall from a rope
while practicing
rock-climbing left
Tim with a T-12
incomplete spinal
cord injury. Because
of Tim’s incomplete
injury he is able to
walk very well with
2 canes.
Tim is a life-long
avid hiker, ultra
endurance athlete,
and adventurer with
a passion for
gaining knowledge.
He has been highly
committed and
involved in
Snohomish Co.
Volunteer Search and
Rescue (SCVSAR) for
the last
Ten years and truly
believes in SCVSAR
motto “That Others
May Live”.
Tim is currently the Operations Support Unit President,
SCVSAR Board Secretary and the recipient of the highest
honor SCVSAR has to bestow on it’s volunteers,
The Terry Tibke Award.
Tim’s faith and determination drives him to
share with others the mission of OPTIMIZEu2
and the Think First organizations. He
continues to share his abilities of
communication to motivate & inspire others
with his story. Public speaking is his
life’s work because he is very passionate
about what he has to say.
